Productions
At Colibrí Danza y Arte we carry out stage productions in which we address different current social problems with the aim of raising awareness through the symbolic language of dance among spectators about the society we live in today.
“Dance undoes any identity, breaking the criteria of recognition of self and others” (Le Breton).
Colibrí aims to create significant symbolic languages of body movement through which these contemporary problems are expressed and an aesthetic of its own is generated for each work, produced in turn with young people at risk of social exclusion.
Some of our works and topics they address:
Lelé: a trip through the countryside (Discrimination against migrant women)
The Dancer of the Waves (Gender Equality)
Reconstructing the silence (sexist violence)
